لِمَاذَا جِئْتُ وَلَيْسَ إِنْسَانٌ، نَادَيْتُ وَلَيْسَ مُجِيبٌ؟ هَلْ قَصَرَتْ يَدِي عَنِ ٱلْفِدَاءِ؟ وَهَلْ لَيْسَ فِيَّ قُدْرَةٌ لِلْإِنْقَاذِ؟ هُوَذَا بِزَجْرَتِي أُنَشِّفُ ٱلْبَحْرَ. أَجْعَلُ ٱلْأَنْهَارَ قَفْرًا. يُنْتِنُ سَمَكُهَا مِنْ عَدَمِ ٱلْمَاءِ، وَيَمُوتُ بِٱلْعَطَشِ.
چون آمدم چرا کسی نبود؟ و چون ندا کردم چرا کسی جواب نداد؟ آیا دست من به هیچ وجه کوتاه شده که نتواند نجات دهد یا درمن قدرتی نیست که رهایی دهم؟ اینک به عتاب خود دریا را خشک میکنم و نهرها رابیابان میسازم که ماهی آنها از بیآبی متعفن شود و از تشنگی بمیرد.
ငါလာ သောအခါ အဘယ်ကြောင့် လူ မ ရှိသနည်း။ ငါခေါ် သောအခါ အဘယ်ကြောင့်မ ထူး သနည်း။ ငါသည် မရွေး မနှုတ်နိုင်အောင် လက် တို သလော။ ကယ်ချွတ် နိုင်သော တန်ခိုး မ ရှိသလော။ ကြည့်ရှု လော့။ ငါ ဆုံးမ သဖြင့် ပင်လယ် ရေသည် ခန်းခြောက် ၏။ မြစ် တို့ကို လွင်ပြင် ဖြစ် စေ၏။ ရေ မ ရှိသောကြောင့် ငါး တို့သည် နံ ကြ၏။ ရေငတ် ၍ သေ ကြ၏။
내가 왔어도 사람이 없었으며 내가 불러도 대답하는 자가 없었음은 어찜이뇨 내 손이 어찌 짧아 구속하지 못하겠느냐 ? 내게 어찌 건질 능력이 없겠느냐 ? 보라, 내가 꾸짖은즉 바다가 마르며 하수가 광야가 될 것이며 거기 물이 없어졌으므로 어족이 갈하여 죽어 악취를 발하게 되느니라
わたしが来た時、なぜだれもいなかったのか。 わたしが呼んだ時、なぜ答える者がいなかったのか。 わたしの手は、贖うことができないほど短くなったのか。 わたしには救い出す力がないのか。 見よ、わたしが叱ると海は干上がる。 わたしは川々を荒野とする。 水がないため、その魚は悪臭を放ち、 渇きのために死ぬ。

Por que razão quando eu vim ninguém apareceu? Chamei, e ninguém respondeu. Por acaso minha mão se encurtou tanto, que já não posso resgatar? Ou não há mais poder em mim para livrar? Eis que com minha repreensão faço secar o mar, torno os rios em deserto, até federem seus peixes por não haver água, e morrem de sede.

¿Por qué, entonces, cuando vine, no había nadie? ¿Y nadie para dar respuesta a mi voz? ¿Mi mano se ha vuelto débil, de modo que es incapaz de rescatarlos? ¿O no tengo poder para hacerte libre?
