Shall not all these take up a proverb about him, and a taunting riddle against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? — and to him that loadeth himself with pledges!
Werden nicht diese alle über ihn einen Spruch und eine Spottrede anheben, Rätsel auf ihn? Und man wird sagen: Wehe dem, der aufhäuft, was nicht sein ist! auf wie lange? Und der Pfandlast auf sich ladet!

¿No han de levantar todos estos sobre él parábola, y sarcasmos contra él? Y dirán: ¡Ay del que multiplicó lo que no era suyo! ¿Y hasta cuándo había de amontonar sobre sí espeso lodo?
¿Acaso no se burlarán todos ellos de él con proverbios y refranes? Dirán: ‘¡Ay del que se hace rico con lo ajeno! ¿Hasta cuándo seguirá amontonando riquezas a base de deudas?’.
¿No entonarán todos estos contra él un proverbio y una burla punzante? Dirán: ‘¡Ay del que amontona lo ajeno! ¿Hasta cuándo habrá de enriquecerse con prendas empeñadas?’.
Zar mu se neće svi podrugivati, rugalicu i zagonetku spjevat' protiv njega? Reći će: Jao onom tko množi što nije njegovo (a dokle će?) i opterećuje se zalogama!
Neće li ga svi oni uzeti u priču i u zagonetke, i reći: Teško onom koji umnožava šta nije njegovo! Dokle će? I koji trpa na se gusto blato.
