לָכֵ֣ן חַי־אָ֡נִי נְאֻם֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָאֹ֜ות אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כִּֽי־מֹואָ֞ב כִּסְדֹ֤ם תִּֽהְיֶה֙ וּבְנֵ֤י עַמֹּון֙ כַּֽעֲמֹרָ֔ה מִמְשַׁ֥ק חָר֛וּל וּמִכְרֵה־מֶ֥לַח וּשְׁמָמָ֖ה עַד־עֹולָ֑ם שְׁאֵרִ֤ית עַמִּי֙ יְבָזּ֔וּם וְיֶ֥תֶר *גֹּוי (גֹּויִ֖י) יִנְחָלֽוּם׃
לכן חי אני נאם יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל כי מואב כסדם תהיה ובני עמון כעמרה ממשק חרול ומכרה מלח ושממה עד עולם שארית עמי יבזום ויתר גוי ינחלום׃
فَلِذَلِكَ حَيٌّ أَنَا، يَقُولُ رَبُّ ٱلْجُنُودِ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ، إِنَّ مُوآبَ تَكُونُ كَسَدُومَ وَبَنِي عَمُّونَ كَعَمُورَةَ، مِلْكَ ٱلْقَرِيصِ، وَحُفْرَةَ مِلْحٍ، وَخَرَابًا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. تَنْهَبُهُمْ بَقِيَّةُ شَعْبِي، وَبَقِيَّةُ أُمَّتِي تَمْتَلِكُهُمْ».
بنابراین، یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل میگوید: به حیات خودم قسم که موآب مثل سدوم و بنی عمون مثل عموره خواهد شد. محل خارها و حفره های نمک و ویرانی ابدی خواهد شد. بقیه قوم من آنهارا غارت خواهند نمود و بقیه امت من ایشان را به تصرف خواهندآورد.

それゆえ、私が生きているかぎり」と万軍の主、イスラエルの神は言われる。「モアブは必ずソドムのようになり、アンモンの子らはゴモラのようになる。いらくさに覆われ、塩の穴となり、永遠に荒れ果てる。私の民の残りの者が彼らを略奪し、私の民の生き残った者が彼らを受け継ぐ。」
