Toen antwoordde de koning Salomo, en zeide tot zijn moeder: En waarom begeert gij Abisag, de Sunamietische, voor Adonia? Begeer ook voor hem het koninkrijk (want hij is mijn broeder, die ouder is dan ik ben), ja, voor hem, en voor Abjathar, den priester, en voor Joab, den zoon van Zeruja.
